Five Easy Steps to Install Outdoor Lighting Our pride is visible in everything we do, from the roses that we plant and the lawns we mown, to the new paint we apply, and the driveways we power-wash, except when it sets.

What has prevented you from showing off your beautiful home well into the night? It may be the outdoor lighting process. Installation and process are not exactly a match made in Heaven. They might seem like a lot of hassle, with lots of time off work, dirt on your floors, and unexpected costs.

Let’s see, we can debunk all that. Landscape lighting can bring your home to life at night. Don’t let installation concerns stop you from bringing your home to life.

This is what you can expect from a LD Lighting install.

Step 1: The Consultation

All it takes is a consultation about outdoor lighting. I will ask lots of questions when I visit your property and give it a thorough inspection. My main goal is to get to know your lighting requirements and your vision.

If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them. This way, you can become an integral part in the design that we create. That’s pretty cool.

Step 2: Review Our Landscape Lighting Design

After our initial consultation, I will return to the office to begin drafting a design together with you. A second, follow-up appointment takes place a couple days later.

I will return to your property with a formal offer, which will include the necessary components and a cost estimate.

Step 3: Schedule the Lighting Installation

You’re happy with the design and are ready to go. Great. Let’s now work out a timeline. Once we have received your security deposit, we can schedule installation, order the components, and tie up any loose ends before our team returns to your home for the final touches.

We know it’s bad to show up unannounced. We always call you at least a day before the installation to thank you for your cooperation.

Step 4: Lighting Installation

Many homeowners have worked hard to create a beautiful landscape. As I mentioned earlier, many homeowners have the same concern: “The installation process will make my yard look messy.”

Let’s forget about that worry for now. Every installation we make is subject to the “Golden Rule”. We treat every customer’s property as if it were our own. Our installation crews will leave your lawn and flowerbeds looking great. Capice?

Installations usually last between 8 and 3:30 pm.

Before we start to dot the Is and cross over the Ts with your lighting system, we conduct a thorough inspection of the system (proper voltage balance, fixture aim, proper lamp beam spread).

Step 5: The Final Walkthrough

Although most landscape lighting systems can be automated, we recommend that you walk through your property to get familiar with the system.

Are You Ready To Illuminate Your Home?

Although I was tempted by adding a sixth step, namely to relax and enjoy the process, I believe it is obvious. When you get down to the truth, a well-lit home in any neighborhood is an instant standout. It’s a way to shine with pride and inspire others.
